How close do you feel to God? In the Christian walk there are always the valleys, when we feel low, and the mountain top experiences, when we feel our best. However, if we are not as close to God as we once were, something is missing in our relationship with God. In John's letters to the churches, he writes to one particular church at Ephesus. He writes the words of Jesus as it is Jesus who is really speaking to the church. In Rev. 2 v 4 through 5 we read: "4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." Notice the tone here is not exactly light and easy going. Jesus promises action to the church, removal of his presence in this case, if repentance is not done immediately. If we
