Executive Pastor
Pastor Larry Shumaker has been the Pastor at New Providence Baptist Church since March of 2007. A 1981 graduate of Carl Junction High School. He furthered his education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri–Rolla (Now Missouri S & T) in May 1985. After graduation, Larry married his best friend, JoBeth Lundstrom, on June 8, 1985. Together, they have three children and one grandson. Larry’s chosen life verse is Luke 6:31, “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.” It has corrected and guided Pastor Larry for over 50 years. Associate Pastor
Landon Budke is the Associate Pastor at New Providence Baptist Church. He is originally from Beloit, Kansas, and lives in Oronogo with his wife, Ally, whom he married in 2023. He graduated from Ozark Christian College in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Preaching and a Bachelor of Theology. He is currently studying at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to complete his Master's of Divinity (MDiv). Landon is a lover of learning, preaching, and spiritually leading others.
